Melinda Marcus founded Marcus & Associates in 1985, and has built a solid track record for helping clients with complex marketing challenges. She developed inPSYCHS training to empower executives to gain consensus and close deals faster.
During her career, Melinda has been named one of the “Ten Outstanding Young Working Women in America” by Glamour magazine, “One of the Five Women to Watch in the Southwest” by ADWEEK magazine, and has won more than 100 industry awards for excellence.
She began her career at Tracy-Locke and went on to become the first female Creative Director at The Richards Group. Since starting Marcus & Associates, Inc., Melinda has worked with a wide range of clients, including the largest privately held newspaper group in the U.S., Fortune 500 Companies and Fortune 100 Privately Held Companies.
Melinda has received rave reviews for her workshops and speaking engagements, both nationally and internationally. Engagements include Women’s Leadership Exchange (WLE), Securities Industry Association, Institute of Management Consultants (IMC), Society for Marketing Professional Services, Mortgage Bankers Association, Food Marketing Institute, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), The University of Texas (Austin) and Southern Methodist University (SMU).
Melinda earned her B.A. with Honors in Psychology from Northwestern University and her M.F.A. in Mass Communications from SMU. In 2006, she completed an executive program through Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Management focused on advanced marketing strategies for business growth.
Melinda is a current board member of IMC and has previously served on the board of the National Association of Women Business Owners (DFW) as well as the Psychoanalytic Foundation of Dallas. She is a member of the 2009 Class of Leadership Texas and is a founding member of LEXCI (a program of WLE). Her agency, Marcus & Associates, Inc., is a certified Woman-Owned Business.
